Dan has participated the last 4 years in the Lawdog shoot each June. The competion pits Lawdogs (cops) against a local group known as The Cowboys. The Lawdogs use the guns they use in their jobs and the Cowboys use strictly all black powder weapons. You are not only scored on time but accuracy. Dan ended up being 15th overall this year out of about 40 shooters. The money raised goes to help the local 4H program here in Casper.
