Hello family and Happy New Years! I haven't added any comments before so I thought this would be a great time to start. I hope all families are happy and healthy. I look forward to hearing about each family and how you are all doing.
I will start off by saying my girls and I are happy and healthy, for the most part. My oldest daughter Chante, just had to have surgery on her foot to remove glass from it. I am happy to report she is doing well and healing just fine.
From what the news is reporting, the Pacific Northwest is being hit hard by flooding. We live in Vancouver and have been blessed that the major flooding has not effected us over here but we are praying for all the families that are not so lucky.
Know that we love each of you and wish you all the best.

Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving Family!
As is the case with law enforcement someone always has to be at work even if it's a holiday. Such is the case for me today. Dan is home with the girls watching the parade and I am at work..watching the parade.
When I get off work tonight at 6 pm we will be going over to our best friends the Mclimore's for dinner. Bryan is also an officer for the Mills Police Department and Andrea has become my best friend over the years. So we appreciate that they are willing to cook for us! We of course enjoy their company tons! So it will just be the 10 of us, which will be nice for us. Plus when you get our 4 girls and their 2 girls together it's always a party!
Anyway we hope that you enjoy your day where ever you maybe.
Love to all...

well... that's not the first story of grandma hanging around that i've heard. but it's good to know... she knows that we know she is with us. sounds like everyone is doing great. i'm glad you guys are using this blog... when grandpa gets access to this it will be a hoot. as you already know you can use your existing email to set up your gmail account. simple instructions to follow. my grandparents on the other side set theirs up with our any help. me and my wife, meghan have been swamped with work. i'm working graves and shes doing days and like danny and minnetta, we miss see eachother in passing, but soon that will end. i've submitted several applications to local state and federal levels attempting to start a small business. God willing. but if all is well i'll have my own gun shop. wish me luck. stephanie is tentatively planning on a march 27 wedding in st george utah. still on as planned. her soon to be hubby (matt) was involved in a car accident last week and had a couple surgeries minutes after arriving in the ER. some internal damage and a broken leg wich required pins. he spent about 5 days in the hospital and was discharged. until the next update... everyone take care and thanks for participating in the family blog. please encourage others to make an entry.

Hello to all
Hi Family,
I was able to make a quick trip to Dad's house this past week.. Monday - Friday... I just had to check to make sure he was doing well.. He is .. and is just as onry as every... I took some yoplait lite yogurt up there.. as I am on a diet... (didn't stick to it very well while there)... Gave some to daddy.. The first day he liked it a lot.. the 2nd day would not eat any at all.. the 3rd day he had more.. and Friday.. I cooked french toast and bacon.. I also took Omega 3 and Co-Q10 vitamins up there for his heart circulation.. He didn't like those either, but took them to get me to stop pushing them... Hopefully, he will continue to take them..
Jill, the cupboards are not quite that bare.. and he has eaten most of the canned fruits mom had done for him that is still good... He is invited out to ward member's homes for dinner occassionally... and eats out quite a bit.. cheaper than cooking.. I am also happy that mom was there to comfort you when you needed it... She is a good mother/grandmother and will always be there when we need her...
Congratulations Renae on your baptism... Being 8 is a very special time in your life's adventures... Wish I could be there, but not able to go that far from home these days...
Dad does not have a gmail account.. I didn't have time to set him up to read the blogs... So, please email daddy when ever possible.. He loves reading the family news...
Stephanie.. have you set a wedding date yet?
Well, have to go get ready for work... Oh yes, Bob was hired on at Wal mart... He is in the Deli/bakery dept... doing a great job too... They love him....
Love to all my family.

Grandma
So I just wanted to share that Grandma Lybbert came to visit me while I was sleeping last night. She was very comforting. I woke up crying quite a few times....cause I miss her and I know that I can't get up there to visit with her and Grandpa. I was taken to her grave site in my dream and I could see the view in which she has from there. It was a nice crisp day and the sun was shinning beautifully. And at one point I could see Grandpa sitting there at her headstone visiting with her.
It was the oddest thing too, I was in Grandma and Grandpa's house and I was physically going through the house to make sure that Grandpa had everything he would need for the winter. I could see in his cupboards the type of food that he had and how many dishes/cookware that was available to him for use. I was taken into the fruit cellar where Grandma put her canning and I could see that the shelves were getting bare. I could hear all the little noises too, for example the noise you hear when you open up the bathroom door to the sound of the doorbell that is affixed to the front door. I could hear the piano being played as well.
And as I sit here thinking about Kendra's surgery that's coming up, I wonder if Grandma will be there watching over her and holding her little hand telling her that everything will be alright and if she'll be helping me stay calm.
I miss my Grandparents. I miss being able to hug them. I miss being able to drive just a quick four hours to their house for the weekend just to say Hi.
I Love and Miss you Grandma and Grandpa more than anyone could ever know!!
